Rental Terms & Conditions

Basic conditions

• A category B driving licence is sufficient to drive the Motorhome.
• To rent the Motorhome we require two valid proof-of-identity documents (ID card, driving licence, passport).
• The minimum age required to drive is 21.
• Comprehensive (collision) insurance has a 10% deductible (min. 10,000 CZK, ≈ 400 €).
• Any modification of the vehicle is prohibited (stickers, screwing, drilling, welding, etc.).
• Smoking (including e-cigarettes), candles, sparklers, and carrying fuel in containers etc. are prohibited.
• Carrying bicycles, skis or other items that could damage the interior fittings (furniture, walls or floors) anywhere other than the designated spaces is prohibited.
• For any irreparable damage to the interior or exterior, we charge the full cost of repair or replacement.
• Using ordinary toilet paper in the chemical toilet is prohibited – please use toilet paper designed for eco toilets.
• Using the chemical toilet without the appropriate chemicals is prohibited.
• The lessee is fully responsible for passengers and cargo carried.
• Carrying pets is prohibited.
• If the rental ends early, the rental fee is not refunded.

Pick-up and return of the vehicle

• The Motorhome is handed over from 7:00 am and must be returned by 5:00 pm at the latest.
• The Motorhome is handed over clean and tidy, with the chemical toilet cassette emptied and rinsed with clean water – and must be returned in the same condition.
• The Motorhome is handed over and returned with a full fuel tank (diesel – do not use biodiesel!).
• If the Motorhome is returned not cleaned (toilet, bathroom, kitchen, etc.) – the toilet cassette must be emptied and rinsed and the waste water tank drained – we charge 2,000 CZK (≈ 80 €) per violation. For contamination with oil, paint, blood etc. we charge 5,000 CZK (≈ 200 €).
• Please allow around 60 minutes for the hand-over/return and the walk-through of the Motorhome's controls and equipment.
• If any damage or wear to parts occurred during your trip, however minor, please report it immediately by calling +420 605 357 011 or +420 732 574 782 – including any damage serious enough to prevent further rental.
• The vehicle is equipped with a fire extinguisher and a first-aid kit – if either is used, the lessee is required to buy a replacement.

In case of a breakdown

• All our motorhomes are regularly serviced and inspected, but breakdowns of appliances or other parts can still occur.
• Any repairs or purchase of spare parts may only be carried out with the Lessor's prior consent (always keep a proper tax receipt – you will be reimbursed when you return the vehicle).
• In case of tyre or wheel damage, the lessee covers the full cost of repair.

In case of an accident or damage

• In the event of an accident, damage to the Motorhome (traffic accident, natural event, vandalism, etc.) or damage to other property, always call the Lessor first, then call the police and obtain an accident report for the insurer.
• Take photos of the accident – the more the better. Always photograph the accident from every angle, both close up and from a distance.

Payment terms

• Once the booking is confirmed, the lessee receives by e-mail a deposit payment request and a preview of the rental agreement.
• Within 5 business days the lessee must pay a deposit of 30% of the total rental fee to reserve the dates, and send one signed copy of the agreement back to the Lessor by e-mail. Only then is the booking firmly reserved.
• The Lessor sends the lessee the final invoice for the remaining balance at the latest 40 days before the pick-up date. The lessee pays the remaining balance at the latest 14 days before pick-up. The service fee* (charged only for rentals of up to 7 days) is paid in cash at vehicle hand-over.
• At hand-over we require a refundable deposit of 25,000 CZK (≈ 1,000 €), paid in cash. The deposit covers any damage not covered by collision insurance, and any irreparable soiling or damage to the Motorhome (interior or exterior). If the damage exceeds the deposit amount, the lessee is liable for the full excess amount.
• The price already includes the rental of camping chairs and a table, plus camping tableware – plates, cookware, cutlery, etc.

* Service fee

The service fee is 1,500 CZK (≈ 60 €) incl. VAT. It covers:

• a full clean of the vehicle interior
• washing the vehicle exterior
• two gas bottles are always provided – one full, one partially used. If consumption exceeds these two bottles, the lessee refills gas at their own expense. If the lessee forgets to return the gas regulator when returning the vehicle, its loss will also be charged.
• clean bed sheets
• toilet chemicals, degradable toilet paper for the chemical toilet, and dish-washing chemicals
• topping up operating fluids (fresh water, windscreen washer fluid, oils, etc.)
• vehicle preparation – minor repairs and servicing
• phone assistance service

Cancellation terms

If the lessee withdraws from the agreement, the Lessor charges the following cancellation fees:

• 20% of the rental price – for cancellation 60 or more days before the rental start date
• 50% of the rental price – for cancellation 30 or more days before the rental start date
• 80% of the rental price – for cancellation 15 or more days before the rental start date
• 90% of the rental price – for cancellation 14 or fewer days before the rental start date
• 100% of the rental price – for cancellation 7 or fewer days before the rental start date, or for failing to show up for pick-up on the agreed date or failing to meet the conditions for pick-up

If the rental ends early, the unused part of the rental fee is not refunded.

Penalties

• For the loss of the vehicle keys, vehicle registration certificate, green card or other documents, the Lessor charges a contractual penalty of 10,000 CZK (≈ 400 €).
• If the vehicle is returned severely soiled, the Lessor charges a contractual penalty of 5,000 CZK (≈ 200 €).
• If the vehicle is returned later than agreed in the contract, the Lessor charges a contractual penalty of 10,000 CZK (≈ 400 €) for every 24 hours (or part thereof) of delay.

Withdrawal from the booking

If the Motorhome is damaged to an extent that prevents it from being rented out, the Lessor may withdraw from the booking. In that case, any deposit paid is refunded in full.

Frequently asked questions

What documents do I need to rent the vehicle?

A category B driving licence (for cars) is sufficient to drive the Motorhome. To rent it we require two valid proof-of-identity documents (ID card, driving licence, passport). The minimum age required to drive is 21.

How many kilometres can I drive?

Mileage is unlimited, we don't charge any fee for kilometres driven.

What is the service fee?

The service fee covers a final clean of the interior, washing the exterior, topping up operating fluids, two gas bottles (one full, one partially used), toilet chemicals, special toilet paper, a full fresh-water tank and clean bed sheets.

What should we bring with us?

You need to bring your own pillows and blankets.

Can I rent the motorhome in winter too?

Yes.

Can I bring my pet?

No. It's very hard to remove pet hair from a car, let alone from a motorhome's beds and seats. Some people are allergic to pet hair, so let's be considerate of them.

Where can I park my own car during the rental?

You can park your own car at the Malina company premises for the duration of the rental.

What should I do in case of an accident?

In case of an accident, contact the police, the Motorhome's owner and the insurer immediately.

Is the van clean and hygienically prepared?

The customer returns the vehicle cleaned; the Lessor then gives it a final clean, washes it and disinfects it with an ozone generator.

Where can I park the motorhome?

You can park the motorhome anywhere it isn't prohibited.
